Constructing the Future at Melbourne Polytechnic
A whirlwind of activity for the Deconstructors team. We’ve been hard at work at Melbourne Polytechnic, Victoria, setting the stage for an extensive demolition project. Our task? The demolition of three amenities blocks, two of which are nestled within the campus library.
The Challenge of Public Spaces
Demolition in public spaces, especially within educational institutions, comes with its own set of challenges. Noise, dust, and disruptions are inevitable. However, our commitment to minimal disruption led us to construct temporary hoarding and isolation areas. These walls serve a dual purpose – they shield the public from the noise and dust, and they allow our team to work efficiently, ensuring that the project stays on track.
The Deconstructors Difference
Our approach to this project exemplifies our commitment to efficiency, safety, and consideration for the public. By taking these extra steps, we ensure that the daily activities of Melbourne Polytechnic students and staff remain largely unaffected, even as we undertake significant demolition works.
